REVIEW MUSIC EXTREME - AUGUST 2005
Heruka is a one man black metal band that combines
climatic elements with utter aggression. Adranor is the brain behind all
the music on this album and he has here only the help of Moha doing some
guitar parts. "Heruka: L´Incontro" starts calmly with
keyboard and nature sounds before the black metal mayhem is unleashed.
Then comes the ultra fast rhythms full of double bass programmed drums
and fast guitar riffs. The thing that I loved here is the combination
of keyboards and black metal aggression. That is the keyboards orchestrating
every ultra fast riff and making the msuic darker besides aggressive.
The msuic here has sort of an epic nature too thanks to the keyboards
and some melodies that contrast heavily with the rawest guitars and drumming.
the voasla re of the black metal trollish type and we have here also spoken
guitars which are essential for the main atmosphere of the music. the
good msuicianship is evident in teh orchestration and in the parts where
the guitars and keyboards interact heavily. Italian black metal rules
and Heruka is one of the main exponents of the style.
