REVIEW PULL THE CHAIN Heruka is an italian one man project (sicilian
Buddhist philosopher?) which suffers from the usual weaknesses of this
kind of personal project. «Leggenda» is no bad piece of music
for my opinion. As usual, some themes are a little bit too long and the
programmed drums works are boring me to death (but its just the
usual remarks). On the other side, there are what seem to be some Bathory
surroundings (the epic facet of the whole project), and there is a definite
Dani Filth presence as well, but the mix of black metal structures, orchestral
surroundings and more epic influenced parts is agreeable to the ear (mainly
if you keep in mind you have to make with an one-man project). Its
just epic and orchestral in an aggressive kind of way and for this particular
reason, «Leggenda» sounds quite interesting to my ears an
is way ahead of most of the underground black metal solo project
even
if it doesnt score great ratings in the originality department.
Good stuff.
